Background on Mystery and Style – Stylelife.com and Pickuplabs.com

Neil Strauss (alias Style) became close friends with Mystery when writing his international best-selling book “The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists”.  In the book, Style describes his own metamorphosis from a pasty, dateless nerd to a man ranked three times as the #1 pick up artist in the world. Over the years Mystery and Style became best friends and wingmen in the field who tought their techniques around the globe. Together they started “Project Hollywood,” a mansion in the Hollywood hills that became the center for the worldwide community of aspiring “PUAs” (pick up artists).

Later Mystery went on to be the host for VH1’s The Pick Up Artist show and Style founded Stylelife Academy, the world’s first online school for learning how to approach meet and talk to women in any situation. Today Stylelife Academy is “the” institution for dating tips and attraction coaching with thousands of successful students.

Pickuplabs.com was created as a free platform that lets you experiment, examine, share and discuss new and proven pick up material including blog, audio and video. Pickuplabs.com serves as Stylelife Academy’s laboratory for developing new pick up material.

Will see if Kevin or Joe D from the show respond.

Just like any TV show you have to be cast for it.

Kevin did make it as the one voted on from the PUA casting website.

  6. Stoic Says:

I picked up a copy of Mystery’s book about a year ago after watching season 1 and it completely changed my perspective on women and social interaction.

Not only does this help you with women but this and Style’s latest “Stylelife Challenge” helps you with all social interactions. Getting my current job (6 months ago) was largely due to the Rapport building I was able to do in my interviewm, which I learned in these sacred pages.

  7. That Other Guy Says:

I really can’t wait to see what Pick Up Labs has to offer. Everything from posting the routines, breaking them down, and discussing them just seems out of this world.

I didn’t get to catch the first season of “The Pickup Artist”, but please believe, I will never miss an episode of season 2.

Now the last thing that I have to say is, Kevin or Joe D, how DID you guys get cast onto the show?

    Just my $0.02
    -Guy-

  8. Prestige Says:

This website seems very intriguing… and the premiere bash must have been something. I’ve been in the community for a while and Style’s been my all-time favorite mentor. I’m totally up for everything he has to divulge involving the underground world of pick-up. Looking forward to the surprises, man.

Hey guys, been working on a new secret handshake routine that I’ve been field testing latley. basically i hold off on introductions as long as possible, so that I have demonstrated considerable value before this routine. when I do exchange names i shake her hand and move it into a bit of a secret handshake, like pounding exploding, haha, all that shit. then as things start to subside i roll off to another set and when I return it’s great espcially if she is with different people, because i come see her again and do the handshake (bust on her when she forgets a step or 2) her friends then think we alredy know eachother and then neg with asking to intoduce me (polite thing to do) then after quick fluffing can usually isolate. has been working great lately… looking for any feedback, similar routines (i know there are secret handshake routines, but different from this one from what I’ve read) anyways lemme know.

What’s up guys! While each person from season one and season two have their own unique casting experiences I thought I would share mine.

One morning before work I went to check my email and I noticed a message from my sister. She never sends me e-mail so I promptly opened the file. Inside she goes on to tell me about how her sorority sister found a casting announcement on a news website in Oregon, and blasted it on their sorority list serv to make fun of the premise. “Looking for lovable but nerdy guys who need help with women” No offense Joe, but this is perfect for you. The next day I hopped a train and went to an taped interview session in Portland. Two months later I got a call from a producer at VH1 asking for a day in the life of Joe video tape. After shooting that out I waited for another month until I found out that VH1 would be flying me down to LA for the final producer casting sessions. I was held in my hotel room for a week and underwent mental and physical tests (this is not a joke). Once I passed they shipped me to Texas and my journey began. That’s my story how I got on the show and became a master instructor in the seduction community, what will yours be?

Its amazing to me how many ways one can go about investing your money. I’ve found for me that best solution is both risky and low risk stocks. I normally put about 1/2 my investments into low risk mutual funds that grow over time and the other half in high risk high gain stocks. I recently got into day trading and I discovered that software stock picks are the best reliable as they can automate a process that I cant do quickly enough. The guys over at stockmarketsoftwareblog.com have an incredible system. You might want to check them out!
