Be warned: Condoms and sand don’t work well together. There are thousands of guys and girls out there that I am sure agree to this statement. As I am sure that a few of the Stylelife crew is finding out RIGHT ABOUT NOW. But there is no reason you shouldn’t take a girl to the beach for an amazing time.
Welcome back to the place that helps you actually put the above scenario into play. That’s right, Pick Up Labs. Constantly dedicated to finding out what works in the field and what doesn’t. Last week we found something that didn’t work, but this week, we have a great opener/cold read combo that also touches on kino escalation, dhv’s and has great potential to blow out every other guy in the bar. Can this routine actually work? Is this the savior of all routines? Does this also project the one key ingredient that all women find attractive in men; CONFIDENCE? Well, we won’t know until everyone tests it.
First, a little bit on the background of it and the author as well. This routine was sent to me a while back by Zebulon and I looked over it and thought it had great potential. It was based on a study done in the United Kingdom. Only reason why I didn’t use it was because I thought it was a bit too long. After going back through previous routines, I realized it wasn’t as long as some of the others we have tested. I shot out a few feelers on what other Pick Up Labbers thought and I received the golden thumbs up for testing it. Now, Zebulon broke it down and put in some serious time to perfect it. When he sent it over, I was eager to see how well it did.
Now, for all of your testing pleasure, I give you The Drink Clutch Routine:
There is one little tidbit I would like to add. Once you point out the different people and how they present themselves, remind your targets that REAL MEN DON’T DRINK OUT OF STRAWS. Ask if they can find a guy that can actually look tough drinking out of a straw. It is damn near impossible. No matter how hard they try, it just doesn’t work. Stipulations: Milk Shakes.
So come back before Monday, September 28th, and tell us what you think about the routine that our Stylelife Academy student Zebulon put together. Post up your results and I will break them down to show if this routine gets the STAMP or goes to the unapproved section.
Time to Frame and Game

I remember reading about the actual study a while ago. The names were a little different, and the “warm beer girl” and “the shy guy” were combined into “the wallflower,” and there was another type called “jack-the-lad,”: arrogant, territorial, unwelcoming to strangers, almost like a male version of the Ice Queen.

But anyway, this routine seems like the changes were made to enhance its utility in the field, so everyone should probably ignore this comment.

SubTea you nailed it right on the button! Haha, that’s where I got the entire idea for this from! I love the pictures in that BBC article, really handy for the field!
I kinda switched everything around from what I recognized in the field, jack-the-lad and The Fun Lover from that article kinda blended into one in most bars. Lots of guys sit down like Jack-the-lad but are still approachable! So I just threw it together for simplicity (and to make the routine run well!).
Oddly enough this works extremely well on female bar staff, they just lose their shit over it!
This routine is long (maybe a bit tooo long…) so we may need to hack and slash! Haha I guess PUL’s does a bit of R&D as well

1. Does it work successfully? yes 5/5 – Girls love all related to body language, I added this to that particular DHV cycle.
2. How difficult is this routine to master? Alot to remember 4/5 – Just need to memorize some and practice some cold reading
3. Did you get called out on using this routine?Nope
4. What is the hook point strength of this routine? This is pure and simple a cold read/DHV. I didn’t use it to open, but used it after open to get to the hook or to keep building rapport.
5. Rapport building strength? 3/5 – It’s more for hooking, but can build some rapport. Not near as good as some other cold reads as you are focusing on other people.
6. Your PUA-AFC level? 3
7. Number of times tested? 5

1. Does it work successfully? Yes, seems to work best on HG’s (shooter girls, bartenders etc.)
2. How difficult is this routine to master? Lots to remember, lots of acting involved. 3.5/5. However, if you remember the jyst of it, it’ll usually work.
3. Did you get called out on using this routine? Called out once, girl just ended up wanting to know where I got this stuff from.
4. What is the hook point strength of this routine? Great! 5/5, it’s really easy to spot when you hook, usually the girls interject with their experiences and/or play along with the impersonations.
5. Rapport building strength? I usually draw this routine out over about 15 minutes, typically I can’t finish it and leave the thread open, so 3.5/5
6. Your PUA-AFC level? 1.5/5
7. Number of times tested? 11 (with current version)
Overall the current version seems a wee bit long
For guys who haven’t gotten banter and thread switching down pat this routine might be a bit harder for them, you really gotta listen to the set during the routine, they give you so much material to work with! So you can’t just plow through it like The Cube. Lots of information but it has never NOT worked for me! Did take a long time to get it “in the can” though.

1. Does it work successfully?
Every Time. 5/5
2. How difficult is this routine to master?
Pretty long, but honestly, the point wasn’t to make it through, it was to hook. 3/5
3. Did you get called out on using this routine?
Not Once. 5/5
4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?
If I could say 10/5, I would. 5/5
5. Rapport building strength?
Pretty big. 5/5
6. Your PUA-AFC level?
4/5
7. Number of times tested?
4 ( would have tested more, but 2 girls took up most of my week/weekend and I will see another tonight).
8. Any additional insight?
Really long, but again, it isn’t meant to be finished, but to hook the target/set. It did it’s job perfectly each time I ran it. Probably the most effective one I’ve ran in a long time.
I also wanted to point out, it hooked an SNL with a complete stranger at a party. This carried over into the next day. This same girl had me all weekend long (Friday-Sunday). I have never done that with anything I have ran off of Pick Up Labs.
