If these GREEN AFCs can pull a hottie, then maybe you can too!

Ever been out and see a guy that just looks like a complete MUTANT?  No style, no taste, but even worse, HE IS WITH THE GIRL OF YOUR DREAMS?  How in the WORLD did a guy that looks like that pull it off?

As Kermit D. Frog once said, “It ain’t easy bein Green”.  And the word GREEN has been quite the fluent word lately.  There are quite a lot of “GREEN” AFCs in the works of the GAME.  There is even something called a “GREEN PUA”.  But this isn’t what we are talking about.

This week, a few of the guys that have helped out in the past put their heads together and worked as a team to take something that was once an OPENER, rip it apart, and build it into something better; a Personality Test.  As we all know, personality tests are like Chick Crack, but is this the kind of thing that can gain the respect of girls or guys?  Is it something that can rock social proof?  Well, that is what we are going to test.

Farmer actually came up with this as an opener while he was in New Orleans during Mardi Gras with the Sneak.  He ran it with much success. As soon as he posted it on the Stylelife Elite forum in a field report, many people started commenting on it.  Then a few threads popped up on various ways you can use it.  Even Techfall came up with a great way to use it as a cold read.  Ever since then, it has evolved into what we present for you RIGHT HERE at Pick Up Labs.

I now present to you, The Ninja Turtles Personality Test:

So, if these four guys in green can hook up with April O’Neil, then you can totally use it to pull a girl of your own, possibly gain the respect of guys in the set, and hopefully bring things to a close.  No lie, while Prodigy, Farmer and I were putting this together, I was testing the waters on a girl.  Come to find out, she is a HUGE COMIC fan.  I was impressed by her geek-streak.  Always a cool thing in my book.  What is in your book?  Bring your results back to Pick Up Labs on September 14th, where I crunch the numbers and post the results.  Let us know what you think.  After all, this is Pick Up Labs.

Keep Framing and Gaming

P.S.  Hope to see a lot of you guys this weekend at the 2009 Stylelife World Conference.  Come up and introduce yourself if ya see me.  It’s going to be a blast.

  1. Leonidas Says:

    1. Does it work successfully?
    3/4 Pretty good.
    2. How difficult is this routine to master?
    Easy
    3. Did you get called out on using this routine?
    No.
    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?
Low to Moderate. Really should have DHV ready stack forward with.
    5. Rapport building strength?
    Low
    6. Your PUA-AFC level?
    PUA
    7. Number of times tested?
    4
    8. Any additional insight?
Can work as a cold read, where instead of asking which was your favorite, you just guess. If there’s a group of four girls, you assign them all turtles based on your reading of their personalities.

  2. TheC Says:

    1. Does it work successfully?
    No.
    2. How difficult is this routine to master?
Easy for me because I’m a TMNT fan.
    3. Did you get called out on using this routine?
    No.
    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?
It didn’t work. Got mostly either a brick wall or a confused look.
    5. Rapport building strength?
Negative because it hindered rather than helped.
    6. Your PUA-AFC level?
    AFC…still.
    7. Number of times tested?
    2
    8. Any additional insight?
I don’t know what to put up on here. The first got me a few minus points because she had “high hopes” for me and my intelligence level and though of me very highly up until this routine and “ruined it”.
The other never watched the TMNT and had no idea what I was talking about. I finished yet she seemed bored and continued with her friends.

  3. YouWish98 Says:

I was a bit skeptical of this one. Personally I loved TMNT. Most of the girls didn’t really know who the turtles were. However, if she had a brother she was more likely to know, but not necessarily have watched, the show.

I’d be really interested putting the Powerpuff Girls Routine up for testing.

Oh btw, here are some girl-centric shows. I’m sure some of them would make for good routines.

    80’s:

    She-Ra
    Care Bears
    Scooby Doo
    Rainbow Brite
    My Little Pony
    Strawberry Shortcake
    Jem! and the Holograms
    Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies

    90’s:

    Doug
    Daria
    Rugrats
    Pokemon
    Sailor Moon
    Powerpuff Girls
    Dexters Laboratory
    Tiny Toon Adventures
And for some reason my Latina friends dig Beavis & Butt-head (which I always thought of as a guy show)

  4. Farmer Says:

I havnt been testing this since Im one of the authors, but I just threw it out there last night to one girl because there was a lull in the game.

She was Michelangelo, and when i told her she was probably the party girl of the group she absolutely loved it and asked how I knew that. And from there left with her phone number. Just thought I would share.

  5. CloverThief Says:

    1. Does it work successfully? Yes, albeit a bit weakly

    2. How difficult is this routine to master? 1/5, Quite Easy

    3. Did you get called out on using this routine? No

    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine? 2/5, unless you happen to find a girl thats into TMNT

    5. Rapport building strength? 2/5 if used as a cold read

    6. Your PUA-AFC level? 4/5

    7. Number of times tested? 3

    8. Any additional insight? Not my favorite routine, this one got mixed results. 2 groups gave me weird looks, the third went better because I approached it as a cold read. In each group the routine was short lived and the topic switched relatively quickly.

    9. Suggested Additions of Modifications to routine (if any): One of my female friends suggested talking about My Little Pony instead, which I think is sound advice. Plus, talking about a “girl show” can be a fantastic was to stand out from the other guys she talked to that night… there aren’t any meatheads walking around talking about My Little Pony, I promise.

  6. Prodigy Says:

    1. Does it work successfully? 3/5

    2. How difficult is this routine to master? 5/5

    3. Did you get called out on using this routine? No

    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine? weak, easy to transfer into better topics but this one is weak 2/5

    5. Rapport building strength? hit or miss 2/5

    6. Your PUA-AFC level? 3/5

    7. Number of times tested? 7

    8. Any additional insight? ehhh this whole routine is a hit or miss but thats what pickuplabs is for to sort out whats good and whats not

    9. Suggested Additions of Modifications to routine (if any): transition into other topics quick like travel, other cold read, favorite old school cartoons, etc

  7. drewder Says:

    1. Does it work successfully?
2/5 (not as good as I had hoped).

    2. How difficult is this routine to master?
5/5, pretty easy to remember and use.

    3. Did you get called out on using this routine?
    No

    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?
2/5. Not very strong at all. I actually hooked more guys than girls.

    5. Rapport building strength?
2/5. Pretty weak on Rapport. Only worked well with 1 girl.

    6. Your PUA-AFC level?
    3/5

    7. Number of times tested?
    4

    8. Any additional insight?
There are ways of bringing it up, but honestly, you gotta sell it to the set/target for it to pull. Let’s just say the economy wasn’t going too good for the turtles.

    9. Suggested Additions of Modifications to routine (if any):
Take whatever cold read you get and run with it ASAP. Possibly transition into Astrology.

  8. sweetcheeks Says:

    1. Does it work successfully.
Yes I used it on facebook quite easily.

    2. How difficult is this routine to master? 1/5
I’d imagine it being a 3-4 for me because TMNT was before my time. but incredibly easy to copy and paste on fb ha ha

    3. Did you get called out on using this routine? No

    4. What is the hook point strength of this routine? 4/5
The girl loved it and still bring it up saying I’m more like one turtle than the other every so often.

    5. Rapport building strength? 2/5 haven’t shifted from fb to real world.

    6. Your PUA-AFC level? 3/5

    7. Number of times tested? 1

    8. Any additional insight? Can be kind of sketchy with younger girls 18-20 I only say this because that’s how old I am, and I don’t even know which one is which. But the girl I tried on is like 22ish and she said leonardo no doubt.

    9. Suggested Additions of Modifications to routine (if any): none
