Test the C’s vs U’s Routine

I hear tons of comments about my first night out sarging with Gypsy after reading The Game. Guys either think it is hilarious how bad we crashed and burned, or inspiring that we were able to turn it around and not let it phase us…or both!

The Christmas present Wingman video that I previously posted, has the Stylelife coaches telling some stories and has Gypsy and I talking about the time he tried the C’s vs U’s Opener.

That was the only time anyone I know tested it.

This is suppose to be one of the most popular routines but I can’t even remember the last time I saw a FR that contained it.

So this week’s mission-

Test the C’s vs U’s Routine

Papa number closed Paris with the help of this routine. This was one of Style’s main routines. Will it work as well for Pick Up Labs readers? Let the testing begin.

  1. Spicey Says:

Already used this one before (I’m sure alot of have you have used it) I stole the exact version of it from NIKSON’s(SLA) first cheat sheet. As a matter of fact I used yesterday.
    1. Yes,It opened successfully.
    2. Difficulty level is 2/5(5 being hard )
    3. I use it randomly.
    4. Never called out till date.
    5. Hook point – 5/5.
    6. Rapport building strength depends on which part of the PU you use it. I dont use it as a opener. I’ve used it in attraction, comfort and then followed up with a kiss close (Mystery or Style’s Kiss routine)..
    7. Done it with and without a wing but it super hooked super best when I actually opened a set and used the HB as an example and explained the U-smile to my wing. She was intrigued and wanted me tell what smile her friends had..I got a drink from it and explained the whole thing to her and DHVed her.
(also I got this idea from SLA forum – Sneak was STYLE using it and wrote about it and I stole it)Also if done with a pivot..it is even better cos later..the pivot can DHV you and talk about your palm reading skills or massage skills or dancing skills.
    8. Initial reaction is WOW..this is interesting
    9. afc/pua level – 4/10.

  2. Sense Says:

I tried it on an older woman. She pulled out her dentures and looked at them.

“I tried it on an older woman. She pulled out her dentures and looked at them.”
    hahahahaha

sense, you made me laugh hard here!!! too bad I can’t give you rep points for you here.

anyway, I already use this routines and works, going to use it this weekend and take a note. I have good results with this one.

  4. Sense Says:

I am back! Finally I am back working for the good of the group! Tonight, I tested it at a club where I opened a two set and hooked them both with a kiss close by saying, “You know, I wonder if the two shapes feel different when kissing.”
    1.Does this open successfully?
-I didn’t open with it. I had rapport with them and used it as part of a DHV story.
2.How difficult is this routine to master?
-4/5. It is hard to say it without stumbling over who famous has the C and U shapes. I used Jessica Beihl and Britney Spears.
3.Did you use it as part of a routine stack, if so give details?
-I was asked what I do for a living. Since I do not like resume’ questions, I said, I am a smile examiner for Hollywood.
4.Did you get called out on using this routine?
-No. I got called out by saying I was a smile examiner, but when I opened the CU bit, it worked.
5.What is the hook point strength of this routine?
-I think the hook was before the routine, but I knew I had them good when I kissed them.
    6.Rapport building strength?
-None. I used it after having a solid rapport.
7.Tested with or without a wing?
-Without a wing, but used each of the set as sort of a wing.
    8.What was her initial reaction?
-Definitely intrigued as it built on my pseudo-job.
    9.Your PUA-AFC level?
mPUA inner game. Above rAFC for outer game.

  5. big S Says:

i tried this not long ago on a super hot waitress at this bar. it just popped in my head after i ran a different routine so i tried it, even though i had never tried it before. however, i changed the examples from brittany and christina because they’re a little dated to me. i used taylor swift for the c smile and scarlet johannsen for the u shaped. i tried it again at a party tonight and it was pretty flawless.

    1.Does this open successfully?
if done smoothly enough, yes. its best to add a bit of cold reading to it. i did that with the waitress and i was spot on.

2.How difficult is this routine to master?
5/5. it takes almost no thought at all.

3.Did you use it as part of a routine stack, if so give details?
the first time i actually tried it, yes. first i ran the ring finger pattern, then i mentioned that i ‘love stuff like that’ and then i went into the c vs. u. her (the waitress’) energy totally shifted from guarded and intimidating to warm and lit up. it was quite awesome.

4.Did you get called out on using this routine?
    nope.

5.What is the hook point strength of this routine?
pretty weak actually, it’s best when used in correlation with other routines/stories or as a transition between routines.

    6.Rapport building strength?
also pretty weak. it’s interesting and original but it’s not the best routine to build rapport.

7.Tested with or without a wing?
once with a wing, once without. when tested with a wing, the routine had a much better effect on the girl.

    8.What was her initial reaction?
waitress: her entire demeanor shifted and she was all smiles after it, but i had to add on a lot of insight and cold reading. i’m not really a fan of this routine actually.

girl at party: she seemed impressed but i had already laid it on thick with other DHVs and inner game stuff beforehand.

    9.Your PUA-AFC level?
i’m content with my skill set. i get what i want from women 95% of the time. i’m not at all average. i love this game.

  6. doc_england Says:

My first testing report. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and it got me approaching all night, awesome.

    1. Does this open successfully?
I opened 4 sets with this throughout the course of the night. It initiated a good conversation with all 4, so a definite success.

    2. How difficult is it to master?
2/5, it runs really well, but its best to have 2 examples in your head ready. I’d recommend having a selection for each type so that you can change according to which one you think the set will most appreciate.

    3. Did you use it as part of a routine stack? If so give details.
I used it as the opener with DHV’ing in all 4 sets. I did not use it in a routine stack, a missed opportunity I think.

    4. DId you get called out on using the routine?
One of the sets was a girl that had been staring at me the whole night (I was in the DJ box of the club as my friend was the DJ). I ran it on her and it just didn’t take. She was a C (!), but said that she’d heard it before and knew the difference. I called her out on it, and she just shutdown. Seemed like a bit of a party girl and not my type so I ejected. She still kept on staring at me all night though… weird.

    5. What is the hook point strength of this routine?
Very effective opener, and with one set hooked well as she pulled over her friends so that I could do it to them as well. The U shaped smile gives you a good quality neg if you want to use it. It hooked really well with a waitress (served straight away all night).

    6. Rapport building strength?
I didn’t use it in this phase of the interaction.

    7. Tested with or without a wing?
Without all 4 times. You don’t need one, but you can also use other members of the set as an insta-wing.

    8. What was her initial reaction?
Waitress – loved it, really opened her up (she really does have a fantastic smile), long discussion about what she needed to do to become famous so she could devastate with the C smile.
Skinny girl – did not hook, she seemed more interested in staring at me than actually talking to me. This routine would probably have worked with her as a later DHV after more initial rapport building.
Sister – really enjoyed it, she was a bit cold at first and the routine opened her up a bit. I didn’t stack so I lost her in the end.
Cute girl – She loved it (I negged with the U shaped smile as well), got her friends involved. Regular at the club and I’m going back next week… reapproach?!

    9. Your PUA-AFC level?
    Total, absolute AFC.

  7. alucard a.k.a. helio Says:

yesterday I went out alone (all my wings went to another club I don’t like), opened 2 sets, the first the only one that showed interest in the routine was the one I said to “you have a C smile”, the second set the routine was 100% as most of the times. I made a commiment to myself to not test this in tourist girl since their reaction would be a little too good so I’m just considerating the brazilian girls.
    1.Does this open successfully?
I opened with another things, used both times as transitions after the opener.

2.How difficult is this routine to master?
I cann’t remember since I use this routine in time to time for a long period but I belive is not that hard.

3.Did you use it as part of a routine stack, if so give details?
yes, I do the opener , than a body rocking and then I use this routine.

4.Did you get called out on using this routine?
    no!!!!
5.What is the hook point strength of this routine?
You show a DHV (good social inteligence and pré selection, since I say that my ex used to have a U and turned into a C to become an actress) and you make the set think about what is a C or U smile before you explain it.
    6.Rapport building strength?
Not build rapport, but generates attraction
7.Tested with or without a wing?
Since I went out alone was without a wing.

    8.What was her initial reaction?
    Curiosity

    9.Your PUA-AFC level?

I can pick-up a 9 easy when my AA let me and at the same time I can concentrate in the game (most of the time I don’t fell so much AA I’m so in the moment that is hard to play nice, but already picked up 2 or 3 HB9 at day time situation and one 8,5 at night time situation (I’m nothing counting the tourist girls that are easy)

  8. Prodigy Alpha Says:

lol I’m glad someone actually posted this routine because i never knew how to use it right.

    1. I opened with it once, the rest i used it later, but yes it opened sucessfully

    2. 2/5 just makes use you do it right

3.yes I used it right after strawberry fields/my Animal, color, water game/ or any game like that

4.Did you get called out on using this routine?
Yes! first time i have ever been called out “Someone played this with me before and my friend said he was a pick up artist… are you one?” I just played it off how i was a psych student

5.What is the hook point strength of this routine?
3/5 strong hook point however not the strongest but a good routine

    6.Rapport building strength?
You can mention back on the point of their C or U smile
    3/5

7.Tested with or without a wing?
Both. With the wing seemed to make them more comfortable

    8.What was her initial reaction?
    Curiosity/ confusion/ disbelief/ attraction

    9.Your PUA-AFC level?
    2/5

  9. Angelsin Says:

    1. Does this open successfully?

I used it only once for opening and it opened successfully.

    2. How difficult is this routine to master?

Very easy, learned it from the beginning but I don’t use the surgical part.

    3. Did you use it as part of a routine stack, if so give details?

I use it in lots of situations, usually in the beginning (after the opener or after a DHV story).

    4. Did you get called out on using this routine?

Never in ~100 sets (I do keep a log). This weekend I used it in 5 sets.

    5. What is the hook point strength of this routine?

Since I didn’t use the surgical part it was mostly when I told her the details about her smile.

    6. Rapport building strength?

It’s a DHV, it can turn the conversation to something deeper (like telling about superficiality and continuing with a deep story).

    7. Tested with or without a wing?

With and without, it doesn’t matter that much.

    8. What was her initial reaction?

    Curiosity mostly, laughs sometimes.

    9. Your PUA-AFC level?

    Medium.

  10. Metz Says:

I’ve never considered using this routine, mostly because I never bothered to learn the whole concept/lines behind it. Turns out it was simpler than expected and, surprisingly, was naturally congruent with my personal dhv stories and routines that Ive naturally developed over the years. That was unexpected for me. The results:

    1) I cannot comment on how well it opens. I used it early on, but after the opener. It kept my mouth moving and allowed me to move into other gambits.

    2) 1.5 / 5 difficulty to master. I expected it to be more difficult, but it was rather easy and short.

    3) I used it part of a routine stack, yes. I was actually winging when I used it. I used it on the obstacle. I told her my wingmans target looked like this girl who I use to buy alcohol for in college. I then went into the routine, saying how this girl wanted to be a model. The obstacle didn’t exactly know what I meant when I said C vs U smile. SO, I bring out my trusted iTouch and draw a picture on it. In Nebraska, iTouch and iPhone are rare enough yet that owning one is a DHV. My wingman is also enrolled in dental school. I tell this to my wings target, in order to DHV his education/career. Everyone loves a to-be-dentist. The obstacle loved me. It was win-win. He number closed his target 15min later.

    4) I never got called out.

    5) Hook strength is 4/5. My material before/after was amplified by this routine. Hook strength as an opener, is unknown.

    6) Rapport strength, 4/5. Once again, this amplified the following material I used. After I ran the C vs U routine on the obsticle, I used Mystery’s? classic line of “Beauty is common, your born with it, buy it…etc”. Since this was the obstacle and an UG, she wanted to marry me on the spot.

    7) Tested once without a wing, twice with a wing. The results were the generally the same with the above results.

    8) Her initial reaction was interest. I believe on all occasions, they leaned inward, giving me the body language that said “continue”. I was also leaning backwards (don’t forget to lean back and relax!)

    9) 2/5 pua level.

    Additional notes:
Twice, the woman asked what is a “C” and a “U”. They didn’t understand the concept of mouth shape right away. I used my iTouch drawing program to “draw” out the shapes. It was very useful. Although untested, next time I will go into my iTouch photo album and stack into a new routine using my photos.
My wingman is in dental school. So odds of being called out on this is basically zero. Everything I’m saying can be justified by getting him to confirm it, after all, he is the expert in the dental field. I’ll post the full FR on http://www.stylelife.com forums that covers the other material besides the CvU routine. (full results are posted here, I didn’t leave anything out regarding the mission)

  11. Metz Says:

Just typed out a full FR and it didn’t post. Testing. Ughh

  12. Metz Says:

I never bothered to learn this routine after I got into the community. I think because I never say any FR that used it. With that in mind, I had no fear of being called out.

    1) I did not use this as an opener. Rather, however, I did use this early on in the interaction, within the first 8min every time.

    2) I thought there was more to this routine. However, it is short and simple. Very easy to use and master. 1.5 / 5.

    3) This routine amplified previous DHV stories and added more “character” to following routines. Yes, this was used as part of a stack. Surprisingly, this worked naturally into my own personal stories and routines, which felt good. I like to use my own material, rather than constantly spew out someone elses.

    4) I never got called out.

    5) As above, this amplified other stories and routines, rather than it solely being the hook routine. I give it a 4/5 when coupled with other material.

    6) As stated already, by itself, I didn’t feel like much rapport was built. It really was amplified and amplified other material before/after it. I was winging when I ran this on the UG obstacle. I ran the routine, then told her Mystery’s? great line “Beauty is common, you pay for it, born with it…etc”. The UG was in love with me. MY wing owes me one for that, haha.

    7) I tested once without a wing, twice with a wing. Results for all sets are congruent with above results.

    8) Initial reaction was her leaning inward, from what I can remember. This body language signaled to me that she was interested. I was also leaning back (don’t forget to relax and lean back, make her come to you!)

    9) 2/5 pua level

    Additional notes:
Two of the woman asked what is the difference between a C and a U smile. In order to show them, I whipped out my trusty iTouch and drew a picture on it to create a visual for them. They both commented on how cool iTouches are. Owning an iTouch/iPhone is still rare out here in Nebraska. I think I’ll try and go into a sort of photo routine with my photo album next time I bring it out.

Also, my wing is in dental school. When I was winging him, running this routine on the obstacle, I mentioned that my wing is training to become a dentist. This seemed to justify everything I was saying. It also was a very cool way to mention my wings future goals and success to come.
I also want to note, that I have no real fear of being called out using common cold reading routines, because I justify them by telling them I’m a psychology major (which I am).
“Isn’t that off of the VH1 show, the Pickup Artist??!!”
“Maybe, I learned about it from my psychology courses.”
    “ohh, ok”. :D

I’ll post a full FR on http://www.stylelife.com forums with more stories from the night. (everything regarding the routine testing is covered here)

Tested it 3 times this weekend

    1. 5 this always opens for me

    2. 2 It’s pretty simple, I tweaked it a bit to make it believable for myself. Minor tweaks so it is still true to the routine.

    3. 5 I used it as a cold opener and a DHV story, it works great for either.

    4. 1 No one has ever called me on this EVER!

    5. 5 HB “What kind of smile do I have?” HOOKED it’s chick crack they eat it up

    6. 4 It gets a conversation going or keeps it going with DHV even if they call Shenanigans on you the HB’s still want to hear you out.

    7. 5 Tested solo and with a wing (this week end 2x solo 1x winged)

    8. 5 HB’s are intrigued

    9. Not an AFC not a PUA

Note: I’ve been using this for over a year now and have used this close to 100 times, it always hooks and I’ve never been called on it. Works better on call HB sets then mixed sets. Also works on solo women as well as sets.

  16. Dchipy Says:

    Whoops… 1 = hard 5 = easy

    2. should be 4/5 only problem is making this story real for where I live.

    4. should be a 5/5

  17. drewder Says:

Sorry for the late submission. As soon as I got out of class @ 10 last night I got a phone call from a girl. Ended up on the phone for 3 hours. =).

    1. Does this open successfully?

I only used it as an opener once (almost twice; wait for it). It worked, but not that well. 2/5

    2. How difficult is this routine to master?

Pretty easy. I listened to Style do it on an audio file. I used it as an opener, a story to build comfort TWICE, almost another opener (seriously can’t wait to tell you about the ALMOST) and used it in a stack.

    3. Did you use it as part of a routine stack, if so give details?

Used it once in a stack with the BEST FRIENDS test. It worked well. 5/5 for good.

    4. Did you get called out on using this routine?

Not by any girls, but once by the BAR BACK while talking to a 3-set.

    5. What is the hook point strength of this routine?

Pretty strong. I got re-opened by a girl later on after I ejected.

    6. Rapport building strength?

Good DHV story, in 2 cases I already had rapport.

    7. Tested with or without a wing?

Both. My wing was more harm than good.

    8. What was her initial reaction?

    Intrigued, mostly.

    9. Your PUA-AFC level?

    3.5/5

Key note: When you go to open a girl, and ask her to smile, make sure she doesn’t have a jacked up grill. ;) . Last night while on campus, I went to run it before class. I asked this cute-ish black girl to smile for me and when she did, she had 2 front teeth missing, a few teeth rotting and a jacked smile. It killed the whole interaction for me and her. I didn’t know how to recover, nor did I really want to. Not to sound vain, but I didn’t mind to eject after that. It was like meth-gone-wrong. =(

Word to the wise, drugs-er-bad, mmkay.

  18. Sense Says:

    “It was like meth-gone-wrong.”

I have never heard of meth for the better.

The recovery is, “I love to see people smile.”
