No, this isn’t a robbery or a concert.  This is Pick Up Labs.  And, thanks to Stylelife Academy student Farmer for his breakdown of quite an awesome Palm Reading DHV.  I hope you guys ran this as much as I did.  I usually go off and talk about the routine for a moment and where it came from, but I would first like to add my little story.

The best set I ran this on, was my first set.  This was the night that Farmer sent it to me to review.  He set up a really good breakdown of a routine perfected by a Stylelife crew member; Gypsy.  Now, sadly, I didn’t rehearse it very much.  The girl I ended up running it on was REALLY interested that I knew a bit about Palm Reading.  Funny thing is, this was probably my first time ever really attempting it.  And guess what!!!  I actually got it all ass backwards.  I was reading her palm as it was facing me and kept remembering the lines backwards.  AND IT STILL WORKED.  How awesome is that?

So, with that, I give you the results of the Palm Reading DHV:

1. Does it work successfully?

All testers stated it was a pretty successful routine. 5/5
2. How difficult is this routine to master?

All testers stated it was relatively easy.  4/5 for being easy.
3. Did you get called out on using this routine?

None of the testers stated that they were called out.  5/5 for not getting called out.

4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?

Most of the testers rated this routine as having a pretty strong hook point.  4/5 for strong hook point.

5. Rapport building strength?

All testers stated it had a pretty strong Rapport Building Strength. 4/5 for strong Rapport.

6. Your PUA-AFC level?

Most testers stated they were neither a PUA nor an AFC.  All testers fit in between.

7. Number of times tested?

46 times

8. Any additional insight?

“I wanted more info about the lines, what various patterns mean, spacing, there is a lot of stuff on youtube about this but you have to spend time separating the negative from the positive and translating it into NLP style comments that intrigue and please.” – Silver Tongue

“I would touch upon the psychic X and number of great loves on their hand. Also I was told by a girl that your dominant hand is how your life is now but you less dominant hand was how your life was laid out when you were born. Always got the girls mystified. Also I would look at their hand and brush it away at first saying ” I cant even talk to you… see this line, that means youre a dork.” – Prodigy

And there you are.  Another great DHV to add to your toolbox.  This routine gets the Pick Up Labs Stamp of Approval. So for the guys that are on the Stylelife Elite Forums, this routine has actually been leaked out.  I won’t say who or how, but I did see this in a field report and I can only say…. WOW!  This is something that Gypsy from the Stylelife Academy crew has taught.  Yet, Farmer has put it together in a pretty good session that I truly believe needs to be tested.  This boasts kino escalation, cold reading, comfort building and an awesome DHV for the guys that pull it off.  Are you ready for the challenge?

First off, this can be set up as an opener, but I recommend using this well after you open.  What kind of routine am I talking about?  How about PALM READING?  That’s right.  This week we are going to break down the art of Palm Reading so you can work it into your sets.  It’s not as hard as you think.  You just gotta do a bit of reading to frame it.  And come on, when has reading up on winning over the girl of your dreams NEVER been fun?

Welcome back to the results breakdown of the Cologne Opener.  The Stylelife Moderator, Prodigy, did an incredible breakdown of this classic routine.  As seen in the book The Game, we decided to pull this one out of the closet and test it out just in time for the Valentine’s Day holiday.  After all, no girl wants to be with a guy that smells like butt.

With just a few alterations, this routine has been tested by various Stylelife Academy students, Stylelife Coaches, and of course Style himself.  But, the question is, how did it fare with you?

Now, onto the results of the Cologne Opener:

As per test results, all testers agree this routine opens successfully. 5/5 for Successful.

According to testers results, everyone agreed that the routine was very easy.  5/5 for being Easy.

None of the testers were called out while using this routine.  5/5 for not getting called out.
4. What is the hook point strength of this routine?

All testers stated the hook point strength was pretty strong.  4/5 for Hook Point Strength.
5. Rapport building strength?

Testers stated this routine had an above average rapport building strength.  3/5 for Rapport Building Strength.
6. Your PUA-AFC level?

All testers were between AFC and PUA.
7. Number of times tested?

Tested 41 times.
8. Any additional insight?

I always tell girls/sets that “The lady at the cosmetics counter in Macy’s/Sephora/Nordstrom’s is trying to sell me what she thinks the best smelling cologne is. Which one do you think smells better?” Then I follow up with, “I always feel like they are just trying to pitch a sale, even if it smells good or not….” -drewder

So, as promised in the previous post, we are going to take it back old school.  This was something that Style has personally used and it was in the Game.  I love how when we go back a few years and revamp something that hasn’t been used here, usually spawns some sort of Stylelife Academy member using it to great lengths.  Just because it has been done before and a while ago, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work….

Or does it?

I have seen Style use this particular routine as an example at one of the Stylelife Academy Conferences this past year and I had totally forgotten about its use in the field.  A few guys at Pick Up Labs have been kicking around the idea of bringing it out and I figured, there is only one way to tell. Besides, it has been a while since we have tested out an Opener.

With that, I give you the Cologne Opener

Also, I think as a colorful bit of inspiration for others, post what colognes you used for this (question #10).  Tell us which ones WON or were the best.  If you don’t have any colognes, go to a cosmetics counter and test what they suggest is the best two colognes that THEY recommend (not the two top sellers).  And…. if you are already out at a cosmetics counter, then you are already in the field and ready to test this guy out.

A TIE.

After about a year of routines, some from Style, Stylelife Academy Students, Stylelife Coaches, and other Pick Up Artists, who would have ever thought that the 2009 Best Of Pick Up Labs would come down to The Ring Routine and Style’s 5 Questions Game.

Although, a lot of guys couldn’t pick just one, I made sure to count all suggestions.  The runner ups were Strawberry Fields in 3rd, and there was a tie between Fate’s Future Projection, the Cube, Farmer’s Baby Girl Name Opener, Prodigy’s Gummy Bears vs. Gummy Worms, and Zebulon’s Drink Clutch Routine.

I found it really interesting the way everyone chose ones that worked best for them.  It shows that in truth, there really isn’t a single routine anyone can truly pick from.  There are so many that are great and work for different situations.

With so many great submissions, and a lot of awesome pics, I’ve gotta say that you guys are the best.  When Stylelife Academy Students come together and everyone posts up their pics with either hot girls, being part of a social circle, funny, or just plain scary pix, it was hard to judge who the winner was.  To be honest, no one is a loser (really, read this whole message and you will understand why).  But the ones that really shined are known.  It came down to a few really tough calls.

Welcome back to a breakdown of FATE.  When it happens, will you be ready?  Pick Up Labs is here to help you when it does.  This is the place where you test new openers, routines, stacks, dhv’s and closes.  Recently, we have been using a lot from Stylelife Academy students.  We have also been testing out the routines in Style’s newest release of Rules of the Game.  When it came time, I really wanted to test something from the Original Stylelife Student of the Year; Fate…. But he has so much good material, where do you really start?

I actually contacted Farmer to see which ones he thought were the best.  Instead, he sent me this whole routine.  We were quite stoked to put it up here and test it out.  This has been a favorite, but they have never been tested like this.  So, how do you think it went?

“My favorite one was telling her I was going to take her on this magic carpet ride and busted out into song “A Whole New World.” She busted up laughing and asked if I was drunk. Oddly enough, she asked for my number and wanted to see me before I left town.” -drewder

“This is meant to be used later in the interaction. the more outlandish and fantastic you make it the more they are hooked. I used Fate Polly Pocket, Tyler Ds PVC Devil and Angel, The Candy Ninjas and my own all worked well.” -Prodigy

“I noticed that each projection can fit into the type of target. A little calibration is key to mastering this secudtion model.” -TheC

“OWN IT… Practice IT… Run with IT. That is the only thing I can recommend. Always good to know where to go to afterwords. When I was done with the MAGIC CARPET RIDE, later on, if she got out of hand, I told her I would kick her off the Magic Carpet if she kept it up.” – drewder

“Also, when I do this routine I stay near her. (not in her face), I talk about us (pointing to us) against them (pointing to the others around).

PS: I got laughs when I pointed to Mickey Mouse (imaginary small friend) and she started talking to him.” -angelsin

One of the best stories from the Stylelife Elite Forum is the one about Stylelife member, Fate.  He started out like most guys and wanted to build a better life.  He joined the Stylelife Forums and began a journey that took him on an incredible path.  He is now engaged to the girl of his dreams.  And with a great game plan, this type of thing could happen to you.

Ok, maybe that’s not everyone’s dream, but to hook up with a dream girl should be.  Now, I personally owe a lot to this guy.  He has helped me out a lot when I started out.  Fate is also the guy that put together the Stylelife Academy Routines Manual that is found on the Elite Forums which is a very valuable set of openers, routines, DHVs, pebbles, number closes/text routines and much more.  Loaded with the creme de la creme of GAME and hosts many routines from various pick up artists, including the man himself; Style.

So you have now been versed with the secret routine that was tossed around the Stylelife Elite forum and also made its way into the new version of Rules of the Game.  It is a really cool routine and we also got to test it in secret with Style’s Street Team over the summer.  And now, we take it public with all the viewers of Pick Up Labs.

With this big news of Vampire movies making record sales at the box office, I knew it would be a good time to pull this routine out and test it here, but what did everyone else think?  Should we leave this talk to the blood suckers, or is this going to be the new Astrology Reading?

Only 1 tester said they were an AFC.  All others were in between PUAs and AFCs.

7. Number of times tested?
41 total.

8. Any additional insight?

“One girl stopped me halfway through to say, with wide eyes “I’ve actually heard of that before!!! I thought it was weird when I heard it too.” Another girl started telling me about the esoteric arts in other cultures as well and the convo just went from there. Only one set didnt stay to talk longer, because I opened them as they were walking towards the exit, and then while talking a couple of their friends came up and asked them what was taking so long to leave.

“Alot of people dont seem to know there blood type, so take a guess based on their behavior. For some reason I could tell whenever someone was a B type, they have a certain look, cant really explain it.

I broke it down how Evolve breaks down astrology, “Oh your a __ type that means you ____(qualifier) which is cool but on the other hand you ____ (disqualifer) so we’d never get along.” – Prodigy

“Know how to start off the conversation and transition into this one. I had to use some pretty fun bits to get it going.” -drewder

9. Suggested Additions of Modifications to routine (if any):
“No modifications, but I usually started talking about, “Hey, have you seen the movie NEW MOON? I don’t understand that stuff, but do you think Vampires are attracted to different blood types?” Then I went right into it.

OR

“I know this is random, but do you like astrology? I’m sure you know your sign, right? Don’t worry, I’m not some weird guy hitting on you, but I find it funny how most people know their SIGN but don’t know their blood type…. You do know your blood type, don’t you?” – drewder

“I always started off with, “So guess what I just found out, you know how people usually rely on Astrology to explain personalities, guess what the Japanese use?” it always grabbed their attention

I usually had the group guess mine, alot said O – the Hunter, Im actually an A. Showed my blood donor card which made for a good DHV and some stories.

Astrology is easy to transition here as is any cold read, what worked best was actually I would pick out one really good quality that they agreed with and say “so what makes you _____?” -Prodigy

“Usually transitioned into this by tying it to astrology (so you know how most people believe people can be matched up by their astrological signs? Well….) or by saying “You know how the Japanese always seem like they are into this weird stuff, like their game shows etc? Well a friend told me….”

Both ways seemed to work well as a reason to bring it up. Usually after talking about it would bring it back to astrology or tarot and go from there.” -Farmer

With that being said, this squeaks by with the Pick Up Labs STAMP OF APPROVAL.  Even if it was in the Rules of the Game, we had to test it here in the lab to make it official.  Speaking of official, the next routine coming up is from the ORIGINAL Stylelife Student of the Year: FATE.  He is going to help you predict the future and I’m predicting it is going to be really friggin good.

I heard of this routine while I was on call with the Sneak and Style during one of the Stylelife monthy member calls and this routine was brought up.  I couldn’t remember it too well because back then, I was a new student and there were so many cool things going on all at once, I didn’t write it down.  Later on in that call, we were all told that we had to keep it a secret.  It has been long enough and now I am bringing it to you guys.

This has been one of the super secret ninja routines that guys use when they can’t remember all the astrology signs or when running the Cube seems too long.  This routine is for deeper level interactions and you may want to hold off using it as an opener.  For the more daring, you can frame it as just that.  I will also say that this will be the last of the sneak peek of the routines that are found in the newest version of The Rules of the Game.  There may be more in the future, but they will be few and far between.  This is your last chance to get your glimpse.

The Blood-Strology DHV
